Refund policy
We take no payments, so there is nothing for us to refund. If you have paid someone, here is who to approach.
We charge nothing
srilankan-visa.org is a free, independent information site. We do not process applications, do not take payments, and hold no funds belonging to readers. There is accordingly no refund to claim from us.
If you paid the government portal
Fees paid to eta.gov.lk are government fees. Refund requests go to the Department of Immigration & Emigration through the official portal helpdesk.
Note that fees paid before the 25 May 2026 free-ETA scheme took effect are not refunded retrospectively.
If you paid a third-party agent
Many sites charge a service fee for submitting the government form on your behalf. That is a contract between you and that company — approach them directly under their own refund terms.
If they charged you for a tourist ETA that is free for your nationality, and will not refund, your card issuer’s chargeback process is the usual next step.
Avoiding the problem
Apply directly on eta.gov.lk. For the 40 free-list nationalities the tourist ETA costs nothing, and for everyone else the official fee is lower than any agent total.
